			| WalkingWalking is one of the best things you can do for your back. Many people find that their backs hurt less when they walk. Practice good posture as you walk: Stand tall. Leaning forward or backward as you walk can put strain on your back.Keep your head up and your eyes forward.Every once in a while, shrug your shoulders and then relax them. This will remind you not to keep your shoulders tense as you walk.
If it hurts to walk or doesn't feel right, don't do it. Talk to your doctor.ByHealthwise StaffPrimary Medical ReviewerWilliam H. Blahd, Jr., MD, FACEP - Emergency Medicine
